Therapy with the pulse of life.
Groundwater is a natural resource that supports many different ecosystems across the web of life. Your own internal well of wisdom calls you to a felt sense of aliveness and belonging.
As a physiologist and psychotherapist, I believe that Earth-Body-Mind-Soul cannot be separated. Our interconnection is the root of personal and collective wellbeing. Accessing what lies below the surface of our day-to-day lives can deepen relationships with self, others, and the natural world.
You are part of the greater ecosystem of Earth.
We are always in relationship— to the tree outside, the microbes in our gut, and to each other.
My psychotherapy work is grounded in ecophysiology, the idea that our human bodies are part of the larger ecosystem of Earth. Our physical, emotional, and spiritual wellness is literally interdependent with other beings on this planet, human and nonhuman alike.
My approach is both relational and somatic, which means that we will meet the unique wisdom of your unique body. Together, we can explore your inner landscape by listening to the natural rhythms of your being with curiosity and compassion.
You are nature.
You are alive. You are biological. You are a raw and organic being, always in relationship with change, which we might call the life-death-life cycle. What is shifting within you?
Your emotions are intelligence.
Sensations, emotions, and stress responses evolved to tell us about our internal and external environments, helping us survive. How are your natural intelligences telling you about what you need?
Your health is dynamic.
Biology is not stagnant. My definition of healthy regulation involves flow between states, cycles, and adaptability. What energy is stuck, and how can it begin to move?
Systems influence each other.
In ecology, the resilience of ecosystems depends on diversity. You are made up of many different physiological systems and psychological parts. Healthy integration can support greater insight and choice. Which parts are driving your behaviors?
